The A/C Drain Free canister is designed to provide simple, effective prevention of clogged AC or condensate drain lines when used with the recommended maintenance tablets.

Installation Instructions

The A/C Drain Free canister can be set up in three, easy steps.

  1. Step 1

    Cut the section of the pipe
    to size where the canister is needed

  2. Step 2

    Insert the pipe
    into the canister

  3. Step 3

    Add the maintenance tablets to the canister & replace the cap

The A/C Drain Free Canister is designed to be installed in the ¾” drain lines leaving the drain pan and to hold tablets that will dissolve with condensate drain water thereby helping to keep the line clear.

The canister is installed by removing 3.5” (more if adapters are needed due to a different line size) from the drain line as close to the drain pan as practical and after the overflow shutoff switch. The cut ends of the drain line are then inserted into the collar connections of the cannister.

If the spacing is correct and the drain line is not strained, pull the drain lines back out and apply PVC cleaner and PVC cement for a permanent installation.

Once installed, place A/C Drain Free Tablets in the canister and replace the dust cap. Depending on AC tonnage, heat and humidity: the tablets should last for several months. Periodic inspection will determine your individual use.
